Laurel College Center, in partnership with Prince George's and Howard Community Colleges, is committed to providing a safe and healthy learning space.

What You Need to Know: 

  • Face coverings continue to be required indoors. Masks can be removed in outdoor spaces.  
  • Covid-19 vaccination requirements will be implemented for employees and students at LCC.  Please click on your school’s link below on any Covid-19 vaccination mandates/updates.
  • Everyone is expected to conduct their own daily health assessment. 
  • The college will continue to evaluate operational status using established COVID-19 metrics and critical indicators to determine if a return to a remote environment is needed.

Important information on LCC Student Services: Fall 2021
 

Advising

PGCC - LCC advising will be done in the formats of drop-in, zoom, and telephone, called “Same Day Advising Services.”  These services will be available from January 3 – February 4, 2022. Beginning February 7th, students will be able to resume with scheduling appointments through PGCC Navigate.  Please refer to the following website link for more information: https://www.pgcc.edu/student-life-support-services/advising/.  LCC also has walk-in advising services.  If you prefer to come in to LCC to meet with an advisor, you will be required to sign in at the Kiosk with your student ID number.  If you do not know your ID number, you can ask the front desk or office staff. If at any time you have trouble getting in contact with an LCC PGCC advisor, please contact our main office on the phone number listed at the end of this letter.  Or you can email your advising inquiries to LaurelCollegeCenter@pgcc.edu

Tutoring and Writing Center

Tutoring for the Spring semester will be ALL VIRTUAL. You can get assistance in Biology (General, Microbiology, A&P I and II), Math, and Writing Center (English courses, essays, research papers, etc.). There will however be an option for in-person Writing Center tutoring for one month between March 23rd – April 25th on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9am – 12pm. Please contact our main number (listed at the end of this letter) to schedule a tutoring appointment. You can also stop by LCC’s main office, on the 2nd floor in room 205 to schedule an appointment.

Placement Testing
  • PGCC - The placement test will be administered on Thursdays at LCC between 3:30pm – 6:00pm, and must be completed by 8:00pm. Students can schedule an appointment by either stopping by LCC’s main office or calling 443-518-4500.

  • HCC – Current testing procedures and policies
The LCC bookstore is currently CLOSED.
