Laurel College Center "Smart Rooms"

During the summer of 2011, Laurel College Center upgraded all the classrooms on the 2nd floor(except the Biology Lab), 3rd floor, and half of the 4th floor to a "Smart Room".

All "Smart Rooms" now have an 'Extron Smart Podium', a ceiling mounted projector, ceiling mounted audio speakers, and, for most rooms, a corner mounted projection screen.

The 'Extron Smart Podium' comes equipped with:

Dell Optiplex 790 Workstation

SMART Technologies 21" Wide-Screen Interactive Pen Display
DVD/VHS Combo Player
Color Document Camera
Retractible Side-table
Integrated controls for projector, content source, and audio volume
Connectors for those wishing to use their own laptop. (Video type: VGA)

"Non-Smart Rooms"

Classrooms on the 5th floor, some classrooms on the 4th floor, and the biology classrooms are NOT "Smart Rooms". If you need to request equipment, please call the IT staff and, if necessary, leave a detailed message.
